Possibly the biggest hoax of 2015, exposed.

It's been referred to as the "dress that broke the internet". It's been passed around classrooms, offices, and just about anywhere else you can think of. It's utterly ridiculous. It is, of course, this picture, and it's had people arguing over whether it's black and blue or white and gold since it was posted. We believe this has gone on long enough, lets put an end to it.

Okay, so you might have seen other pictures of the dress clearly showing as dark blue and black. You might have read that the dress really is dark blue and black. And, perhaps the dress in this photo really was dark blue and black, but those aren't the colors in the picture you're looking at, and that's totally possible. Simply over-exposing a photo can wash out a great deal of the color. Reflection and other anomalies can affect it too.
